Happy Valentines! Digital tip of the week –– Organize your Twitter stream by creating lists
When you follow a high number of profiles on Twitter, it is sometimes difficult to get to know the important and useful tweets in between the “noise” of your timeline. Twitter Lists come in handy to keep up with the best tweets from the people you follow and cut the noise in your stream. You can have different categories of lists eg “customers”, “partners” etc to help you sort the content and you can make your lists public or private. Plus, lists are a form of appreciation on Twitter, a gesture of gratitude. And you might get listed back too.
Learn how to create Twitter lists here.

Defense won the SuperBowl, but does it work in Social?
I was watching the SuperBowl and the verdict was the Defense Wins SuperBowls!
But does it win the Social Business game?
What does a defensive vs an offensive Social Business Plan look like?
Well first, for any plan you need to do a set of key tasks:
- Have plan and set goals - you can't get where you are going without a goal!
- Establish metrics for success
- Know your audience
- Hang with the right folks
- Share your best stuff
- Measure, rinse and repeat
- Be You!
Defense: A defensive strategy is to prevent the other side from scoring a point. Defense usually attempts to mitigate an opponent’s impact.
Defensive Social would be:
- Listening to what is being said and then responding
- Protecting identities and security
- Having a plan for any kind of "blogosphere" attack
Offense: An offensive play will goes after the goal line aggressively.
An offensive play would be more focused on:
- Sharing Point of View to shape the discussion and then jump in
- Joining communities to be a valued based member, knowing that you do not own your audience
- Focused on the social relationship to influence
Just as in any great football game, you really need to do both to succeed!!! I believe that both are required to win the hearts of your clients.
Both are needed to succeed --- Just ask the Seahawks!!

This week will be global!!!
Intrapreneurs and Entrepreneurs are great friends!!!
- Entrepreneurs provide the spark. Intrapreneurs keep the flame going.
- Entrepreneurs are found anywhere their vision takes them. Intrapreneurs work within the confines of an organization.
- Entrepreneurs face many hurdles, and are sometimes ridiculed and riddled with setbacks. Intrapreneurs may sometimes have to deal with conflict within the organization.
- Entrepreneurs may find it difficult to get resources. Intrapreneurs have their resources readily available to them.
- Entrepreneurs may lose everything when they fail. Intrapreneurs still have a paycheck to look forward to (at least for now) if they fail.
- Entrepreneurs know the business on a macro scale. Intrapreneurs are highly skilled and specialized.
